STEP 1: Identify Potential Risks
We work closely with our clients to conduct a thorough risk assessment, identifying critical applications and potential risks such as power outages, compressed air supply disruptions, and other critical utility insufficiencies. By understanding these risks, we can tailor our contingency plan to prepare your facility when temporary equipment is needed. This involves addressing questions such as:
- What if we lose power to the admin building?
- What if the plant air compressors fail?
- What if our chilled water network fails?
- What's our strategy?
STEP 2: Crisis Planning and Prevention
Through comprehensive crisis planning, we assist our clients in creating a checklist of proactive measures to prevent or mitigate crises. This includes sizing equipment to your facility’s needs. We can proactively determine the required equipment node sizes and accessories for your specific project. By taking these preventive steps, our clients can minimize the impact of potential crises on their operations. This ensures that when our customer requires immediate assistance, we can minimize downtime effectively.
STEP 3: Communication and Coordination
During a crisis, clear and efficient communication is essential. ERS-Cat operates 24/7 so we can help our clients establish accessible and reliable communication during the time of an emergency. Our operations team is fully informed and is always engaged in response efforts. Additionally, our sales team remains consistently prepared and accessible to execute established contingency plans.
When conducting a risk assessment for industrial and commercial clients, consider asking the following questions to identify potential risks:

- What is the lead time for rental equipment deliveries?
- Which areas within the facilities are most critical?
- What types of severe weather events are common in your area?
